A Prospective, Single Site, Non-Randomised, Feasibility Study to Assess the Applicability of a Virtual Reality Immersive Clinical Environment for Learners and Educators

A2003241

This study tests an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) platform to train healthcare staff and medical students in managing rare emergencies. VR offers a cost-effective, realistic alternative to traditional simulation training. The research will assess how well VR improves learner knowledge and confidence and gather feedback from both learners and educators. Recruitment starts mid-2025, with results aimed for early 2026. Success could lead to wider use of VR training across the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
