The acetabulum, also known as the hip socket, is part of the pelvic ring. Fractures sustained in this region are usually seen following high energy trauma. The incidence of sexual dysfunction in patients following acetabulum injuries is still understudied with scarce case reports available in the literature. The objective of this work is to investigate the incidence and characteristics of patients who have been treated at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust over the past 10 years with acetabulum fractures and have developed sexual dysfunction. Identifying this cohort of patients and documenting risk factors would allow early targeting treatment to improve outcomes.
