Collected data on patients who have undergone treatment using a growth factor

A2002247

The BMP-2 database records all patients who have undergone treatment with BMP-2 which is a growth factor used to promote healing for patients whose broken bones are not healing properly, are taking longer than expected to heal, or who have bone defects.

The renewal of the domain for the website for 7 years allows the data collection and analysation of data to continue.

The data collected from the website is used to help shape patient care going forwards who have non-unions, delayed unions and bone defects.  It is also used for publication of papers within the department, giving international recognition for the work done in Leeds.
