Thanks to your support, we continue to develop the Rob Burrow Centre for MND. This year, we invested over £300,000 into developing a therapeutic garden, which will enhance the holistic care offered at the centre, offering space for family time, relaxation and reflection.
As part of our ‘Enhancing the Healing Environment’ funding call, we supported projects such as the refurbishment of the Patient Day room on transitional care and the family spaces on J01. These projects will improve the experience for mothers with newborn babies needing neonatal care. Other projects include the improvement of the LGI Occupational Therapy Kitchen, and an upgrade to the Renal Intervention Centre. These investments in the hospital environment ensure that top-quality care can be delivered.
Even small improvements can make a huge difference to patients and staff. For example, 24 new pieces of art on J80, the Oncology Day Case unit, create a better and more relaxing space for patients undergoing huge challenges.
