James relies on a ventilator and specialist care, and this means he currently can’t leave hospital. James’s mum Cayleigh worried that James wouldn’t get to experience the magic moments and milestones of a “real” childhood. But because of Play, James hasn’t missed a thing. Regular donations help fund vital services like the Play Team at Leeds Children’s Hospital. Because of the play team, James has been able to experience so much, despite being in hospital for over a year. However, you can also donate to a specific project or area if we have a live fundraising appeal or there’s an ongoing project in that department. Whenever someone gives us a donation, we’ll take into account their wishes. We often have projects or appeals that we’re fundraising for, and all of these can be found on the Areas We Support page. If you know that a specific ward or department is fundraising for something, please let us know when you make your donation.
